Although a peninsula, Istria is actually more like an island in its own right. It shows in local customs, music, history and legends, architecture of its dreamy hilltop towns, and traditional dishes and indigenous wines. Oysters, homemade pasta dishes, seafood of many kinds, wild asparagus, and of course, the king: Tuber Magnatum Pico – the white truffle. We’ll gladly present you how it is being collected with a help of trained dogs in the Truffle Hunt. Spend a day strolling around vineyards, exploring traditional wineries, tasting different wines or having a picnic in a vineyard. During the day you’ll visit several different wineries and enjoy tasting their wines: a small, traditional family-run winery, and a contemporary-designed winery of a cutting edge design and most innovative technology.
