Besides being an old Turkish trading post, Mostar, unfortunately, still bears scars from the violent battles during the downfall of Yugoslavia. Upon arrival, you will meet our local guide and take a stroll through the old town with its bazaar, see the original Ottoman residential houses, mosques and the Old Bridge. Just a short drive takes you to Blagaj, a townlet of very rich history, where a centuries old tekke (tekija or Dervish monastery) is situated at the source of the Buna river. Built around 1520, with elements of Ottoman architecture and Mediterranean style it is a part of the Bosnian national heritage.
