This is the region of truffles, fresh pasta, excellent wines & olive oils and luscious homemade specialties. We only teach traditional cuisine of Istria with a creative twist, applying modern cooking techniques on old, traditional recipes.
We’ll meet you in Pula centre and walk to farmers & fish market to get fresh ingredients for our cooking class. After a short drive to a family house in a nearby coastal village, we’ll serve marenda (local name for a brunch) of traditional Istrian charcuterie, cheese, marinated or salted anchovies and various mediterranean treats. During the class you may taste several varieties of extravirgin olive oils and learn how to pair them with various dishes. An introduction to food & wine pairing is included in this class!
Duration: approximately 6 hours
Cooking class includes: a marenda brunch, three-course meal (starter, main, dessert), two bottles of premium Istrian wine, olive oil tasting, all the ingredients and materials, food tour of Pula’s fish and green market, coffee, digestif and education
